Dogs don't sweat. They pant — and on a 95° day, panting isn't enough.

The ChillPaw Mat is woven from ice-silk fabric that pulls heat out of your pet's body by conduction — the same reason a tile floor feels cold the second you step on it. Your pet lies down, the mat draws the heat away, and they finally settle instead of pacing from room to room looking for the cool spot.

No water. No freezer. No power cord. Nothing to plug in or refill.

Why it earns its spot in the house

  • Cool the moment they touch it — activated by your pet's own body weight, and it re-cools on its own once they get up.
  • Zero setup — unroll it. That's the whole instruction manual.
  • Goes everywhere they go — crate, car seat, sofa, patio, kennel, hotel floor. Folds flat for travel.
  • Easy to clean — wipe down or machine wash, quick-dry surface, non-slip backing that stays put on hardwood and tile.
  • Safe for dogs and cats of every age — no gel packs, no chemicals, no cords to chew.

How to use it

1. Lay it flat wherever your pet already likes to nap.
2. Let them find it — most pets claim it the first afternoon.
3. Give it 15–20 minutes off-mat to reset between long naps.

Pick your size

  • Small — cats, puppies, and small breeds up to roughly 20 lb. Also the right size for most carriers and crates.
  • Medium — the most popular size. Beagles, Frenchies, Cockers, Border Collies — roughly 20–50 lb.
  • Large — Labs, Goldens, Shepherds, Huskies, and anyone over roughly 50 lb. Also great as a sofa or car-seat cover.

Between sizes? Go up. Pets sprawl when they're hot.

Watch for these — they mean your pet is overheating

Heavy or frantic panting, bright red gums, drooling more than usual, lying flat on tile or in the bathtub, or refusing walks they normally love. Cooling relief helps, but if your pet is disoriented or vomiting, that's heat stroke — call your vet immediately.

Questions we get a lot

Does it need to go in the freezer? No. Chilling it isn't necessary and isn't recommended — the fabric works on contact at room temperature.

Will my dog chew it? There's no gel or liquid inside, so a curious nibble isn't a hazard. Heavy chewers should still be supervised, as with any bed.

Can I leave it in the crate all day? Yes. That's where most customers use it.

Does it work for cats? Very well. Cats tend to find it before you finish unrolling it.
